Hello Beautiful souls,
Dry brushing is one of the simplest daily rituals with powerful benefits for your skin, lymphatic system, and overall energy. This ancient practice takes just a few minutes and supports the body’s natural detox pathways while reconnecting you to your body through mindful touch.
✨ Benefits of Dry Brushing• Stimulates the lymphatic system, supporting natural detoxification• Encourages circulation and healthy blood flow• Gently exfoliates dead skin cells for smoother, brighter skin• May help reduce the appearance of cellulite over time• Awakens the nervous system and boosts energy• Supports immune health and skin tone
🌿 Choosing the Right BrushThe best dry brush is:• Natural plant-based bristles (tampico, cactus, or sisal)• Medium firmness invigorating, not harsh• A wooden handle or hand strap for control
Avoid synthetic bristles, which can irritate the skin and don’t stimulate the lymph system as effectively.
🌸 Adding Essential Oils (Optional but Beautiful)You can enhance your dry brushing ritual by lightly scenting the bristles.
How to apply:• Add 1–2 drops only of essential oil to the dry bristles• Let it absorb for a minute before brushing• Never apply oils directly to skin during dry brushing
Best oils to use:• Grapefruit – lymphatic support, uplifting, skin toning• Juniper berry – detoxifying, grounding• Cypress – circulation support• Lavender – calming, ideal for evening rituals.
**Always use high-quality, pure essential oils.
How to Dry Brush• Always brush on dry skin, before showering• Start at the feet, brushing upward toward the heart• Use long, gentle strokes on limbs• Use circular motions on joints and the abdomen (clockwise)• Avoid the face and any broken or irritated skin• Finish with a warm or contrast shower, then moisturize
How Often• 3–5 times per week is ideal
• Sensitive skin: start with 2–3 times weekly
• Morning brushing is energizing; evening is grounding.
✨ Make It a Ritual
Dry brushing is more than skincare it’s a moment of presence, intention, and self-respect. Pair it with breathwork, gratitude, or a short affirmation to deepen the practice.
